Committed to supporting new works, STC commissioned Rockwell & Rose to write Meet Your Mountain (originally titled The Donner Party), and produced the wildly successful world premiere in 2017.
Featured in the Premiere Production were Michael RJ Campbell, Vivienne Cleary, Maggie Hollinbeck, Brian Bohlender, Abbey Williams-Campbell, Steve Minow, Jerry Lee, E. Chalmers, A. DeNuzzo, Ryan Blanning, O. Ingram, Cat Yates, Sam C Jones, Martha Omiyo Kight. Not pictured: Michael Coleman, N. Solorio, M. Ward Lonergan, M. Muchowski, F. Murray, and I. Holmer. Understudy for Tamsen Donner: Nicole Sterling.
The Sacramento Theatre Company is a professional regional theatre company which sits on a beautiful courtyard in downtown Sacramento. The oldest theater troupe in Sacramento, STC traces its origin to the Eagle Theatre from California’s Gold Rush era, the first theater built in California; built only two years after the survivors of the Donner Party arrived at Sutter’s Fort.
